The Himachal Pradesh State Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board is in the process of registering the Environmental Consultants only in the filed of environment protection, pollution abatement and control with respect to areas such as water & air, hazardous waste, bio-medical waste, municipal solid waste etc. Any reputed consultancy organization/ firm (preferably having ISO or BIS accreditation) interested in getting registered with the State Board may apply on the prescribed Performa available on the State Board website www.hppcb.nic.in along with details about the field of specialization and related experience. The registration is being done for the year 2007-2008 and the initial registration fees is Rs. 15,000/- (Rs. fifteen thousand) only and further annual renewal would be @ 40% of the registration fees. The consultancy organization/firm already registered with the State Board need to pay only the annual renewal fees. However, the subsequent renewal shall be subject to consistent environmental compliance and performance status of pollution control systems installed/ maintained by them. The application along with registration/renewal fees in the form of DD in favour of Member-Secretary, H. P. State Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board payable at Shimla should reach this office by the cutoff date i.e. 05th April 2007. The consultancy organization/firm having ISO or BIS accreditation may also enclose copy of the certificate along with application form. The final registration and renewal is subject to assessment/review of performance by the subject matter expert committee. The Member - Secretary reserves the right to cancel the registration/renewal of any organization/firm, if deemed necessary.
